SEA FREIGHT

Sea freight is the transportation of goods, consolidated into sea containers to other seaports or terminals. Onward transportation to an inland terminal may be possible. For the transport, a so-called Express Bill of Lading with a unique number is issued.

In ocean freight shipping, goods are packed in shipping containers and the freight forwarder books container or space with the shipping agent. Shipment moves to the port and passes through customs at the point of origin.
